We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Process Assistant to join our team for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to overall operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety in manufacturing areas, using required safety equipment and PPE.
- Handle quality-related tasks, including reading travelers, understanding customer drawings, and utilizing the ISO 9000 Quality System.
- Conduct internal audits (process, system, product) and assist associates with monitoring and measuring equipment use.
- Record quality data in company systems and drive continuous improvement in production quality.
- Monitor production processes, ensuring customer standards, and use SPC (statistical process control) process when necessary.
- Aid in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes.
- Assist Quality Manager with ISO 9000 Quality Management System maintenance when needed.
Key Job Performance Measures:
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of quality data.
- Conduct audits in accordance with our quality system standards.
- Conduct problem-solving sessions for corrective actions.
- Reduce Customer's complaints and internal PPMs.
- Ensure operators demonstrate proper use of monitoring and measuring equipment.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in a Quality/Process field or equivalent.
- Two to four years of manufacturing experience.
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9000.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Mechanical background with a willingness to troubleshoot processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, good judgment, and a desire to learn and grow.
- Initiative-taking with a take-charge attitude.
- Willingness to work necessary hours to complete daily tasks.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
